Here is the story of the famous inventor Thomas Edison:
Thomas EDISON was born in the United States in 1847
When he was 9 years old, he came back from school one day with a letter for his mother. He told her: "My teacher asked that I give you this letter, only to you".
His mother then opens the letter, reads it silently, and with her eyes filling with tears, reads it to her son: "Your son is a genius. This school is too small for him and we do not have enough good teachers to train him. Please do it yourself.”
Many years later, when Edison's mother died and he was then known as one of the greatest inventors of his century (1,093 patents filed including the invention of the light bulb, the telegraph, the phonograph, the power station, the camera etc...), he realised the power of words…
While searching through old family things, he found a folded letter in a box belonging to his mother. It was the letter from the teacher that he had given to his mum as a child. It read: " Your son is mentally ill. We won’t let him come to school any more"
Thomas EDISON cried for hours and wrote in his diary: "Thomas Edison was a mentally ill child who, thanks to a hero mother, became the genius of the century.
Believe in yourself, this is one of the things we teach children at FABULOGRAM!
